Witchert Choral Concert

On the first Saturday in December 2018, the Haddenham Village Society hosted a charity concert by the Witchert Chorale at St Mary's parish church.

Entitled "When Handel Came to Haddenham", the programme offered an evening of eighteenth century harmonies penned by this popular composer, supplemented by a story, written and narrated by Ed Cairns, delivered between each of the musical pieces to add a touch of humour and some fascinating glimpses of local history.

£250 raised from the evening went to assist in the costs of running the Village Society while the remaining monies were donated to the Friends of St Mary's — a fabric fund that helps to maintain the parish church building for the benefit of the whole local community.
