On Friday 5th June the Haddenham Village Society, in conjunction with the Haddenham U3A, hosted an archaeological talk describing the ancient history of Haddenham.
An Anglo-Saxon skeleton was revealed during land preparations for the Grove Development and talk was based on the subsequent archaeological Investigation undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology.
The talk was given given by Daniel Stansbie, Principal Post Excavation Manager of Cotswold Archaeology.
Sadly there was a technical hitch whereby the presenter's laptop would not communicate with the hall's projector. This was most unfortunate as the presentation really needed the visuals. However, it is hoped that the slide set will be made available here on Haddenham .net shortly.
In the meantime, a video recording of the talk is available on YouTube.
The video recording initially begins with a protracted period during which efforts were being made by u3a tech support team to overcome the video issues. The presentation starts at 5min 45sec into the original livestream.
